This policy explains what personal information The Recipe Corner ("we", "us") collects when you use therecipecorner.recipes, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, the date and wording of the consent you gave, and a one-way hashed version of your IP address used to prevent abuse.
  • Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, and a hashed IP address used for spam prevention.
  • Recipe reviews: the display name, optional email address, rating and comment you submit. Your email address is never displayed publicly.
  • Usage statistics: anonymous, aggregated page-view counts used to show our most popular recipes. These counts are not linked to individual visitors.
  • Server logs: our hosting server records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

Visitors browsing the site do not receive tracking cookies from us. A strictly necessary session cookie is used only when site staff sign in to the administration area. If we enable analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.

How we use information

We use your information to send the newsletter you asked for, to respond to your messages, to publish reviews you submit, and to keep the site secure. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe and for a reasonable period afterwards to honour your opt-out. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and for record-keeping.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Canada and Australia, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to its use.
